I grew up on a farm with two brothers, so I was definitely more of a tomboy than a girly girl. It wasn't until high school, when I started having sleepovers with my girlfriends, that I was introduced to a whole new world. We'd play around doing each other's tans, hair and makeup and simply have fun being girls.

I've never been someone who could sit still for long. I knew I wanted a career where I could be creative, connect with people, have a chat and do something different every day. What started as a creative career has grown into something so much bigger.

Fifteen years later, I've realised it was never just about hair. It's about helping women feel confident, empowered and like the strongest, most confident version of themselves.

Over the years, I've learnt that great hair isn't just about how it looks when you leave the salon. It's about creating something that suits your lifestyle, your routine and your goals. Healthy hair will always come before quick fixes, and I'll always be honest about what's achievable because I'd rather build trust than promise something unrealistic. My job isn't just to create beautiful blondes, seamless extensions or precision cuts, it's to educate you, care for your hair and make sure you leave with results that you can genuinely love long after your appointment.

After working in salons for many years, I realised I wanted to create something different. Sal's Hair Studio was built to be a calm, welcoming space where women can feel completely comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Whether you're a busy mum finally taking a couple of hours for yourself, bringing your little one along because life doesn't always go to plan, or simply looking for a place where you'll never feel judged, you're always welcome here. I wanted to create a salon built on honesty, kindness and genuine connection, a place where every woman feels cared for, listened to and supported.

My hope is simple: I want every woman who walks through my door to leave feeling lighter, more confident and empowered. Whether that's because she loves her hair, finally took some time for herself, shared a laugh, had a cry or simply felt truly heard, I hope every appointment reminds her of how incredible she already is. Because at the end of the day, Sal's Hair Studio has never just been about hair, it's about helping women reconnect with their confidence and walk back out into the world feeling like they're back in their power.
